Check to see if XviD codec is already installed: go to start>Programs and check if XviD is listed.
If it is already installed, it maybe a good idea to uninstall it and reinstall XviD with an updated version, so go to start>Programs>XviD>Uninstall XviD

1. check "accept the agreement"

XviD is installed so now you can view avi video files encoded with XviD.
