New Years Eve - St Kilda Pier

The hottest day ever recorded 42 degrees, so we spent the whole day at Southland Shopping Centre buying pressies and just enjoying the cool airconditioning they had to offer. We had lunch and then more shopping, guess what we did next???
We had afternoon tea, a coffee hit and then MORE shopping. Wow, the time was now 5:00pm and guess what, we had to leave the shopping centre
As soon as we walked out the heat hit us, it reminded me of when I got off the plane from Sydney to Darwin. That extreme heat where even the air is hot.
We decided that we would go and see the 9:15pm Fireworks on the St Kilda as Elizabeth may end up asleep by the time midnight comes along. We walked down the pier and found a nice quiet spot to watch the fireworks. They were in the City so we were a little further away from them but you could still enjoy them. St Kilda was taking off, so many parties and the music on the beach was awesome. The feeling of New Years Eve was amongst us and people were partying hard. Lots of people eventually watched the fireworks and some stayed for the mignight ones too. We headed back home as it was way too hot for Elizabeth, she was a little restles and I was dying to sit infront of the Cooler. Happy New Years came and I had made a Vasilopita that I divided amoungst us in the house and guess wo got the gold coin.??? Of course it went to the house, so Pop and Grandma Feather , may all that you wish for come your way this year. Happy New Year !!!!!
