We saw Dr Murphy today to follow up from Elizabeth’s Glenn Procedure. Dr Murphy was extremely happy with Elizabeths quick recovery however he has 2 major concerns for Elizabeth long term. Elziabeth has a Leaking Valve which is showing its not getting any better, she is taking medication to ease off the presssure so that not much blood flows back into the Atrium. The Doctors will have to come to some sort of decision if this does not improve. Dr Murphy also mentioned that Elizabeth may also need a Pace Maker to assit with her heart to regulate if needed. This is something that will be looked into in the future as Elizabeth has only one Electro Node that kicks starts the heart where as we all have 2. Once again this is more long term treatment. Dr Murphy said that Elizabeth will be well enought to go back to childcare within 6-10 weeks. Her last operation which is the Fontan Procedure will be done when Elizabeth is around the age of 4+. We are due to see Dr Grant on the 20th June I will report back then.
