New Years Eve,  The day started out great,  I went shopping to make the Traditional Cake called VASILOPITA that I make each year.  At this stage I began to make the cakes at around 1.00pm when I heard Leslie call me in the Playroom where Elizabeth was.  He sounded distressed.  I immediately ran to see what had happened.  Elizabeth had developed some kind of a rash on her right foot.  It look like some kind of insect bite but it most definately wasn’t a Mosquito bite.  I began to worry thinking she had been bitten by a spider.   We left the house in a puff and went to the SCH emergency where they took Elizabeth for further monotoring.  The redness of the rash was clearing then re-appearing.  Doctors did all they could they wanted to make sure that Elizabeths Heart was not going to be affected by all this.  After 5 hours they felt that Elizabeth was doing better and put her on Anti-biotics and we were able to go home to enjoy the festivities.  I still had to make 3 Cakes and had to be at Jennys house around 7.00pm ( I highly doubted that I was wonder woman but I tried) . It was around 9.30pm when we arrived at Jennys house and everyone was in the party mood.  Drinking, eating and Singing Kareoke was on the cards.  There were some fireworks around the area not just in the harbour which was great.  Elizabeths face lit up when she saw them in the sky.  The hours nearing and closer to midnight when finally we were screaming out  10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 HAPPY NEW YEARS.  We all wished everyone well and then as usual I began to cut the traditional cake only to find that the “House got the Gold Coin.” therefore Jennys family would have good luck for the New Year.  Elizabeth crashed out for the evening, she was so exhausted.  We sang songs and talked all night then got home around 3am.  New Years Day was a quiet one. Most of us spent it in bed with hangovers lol :)  ELizabeth drank too much milk he he he overall it was a great day.
